Summary:
Responsible
for the repairs and maintenance of all trucks and trailers.
Minimum Requirements:
- The mechanic must be a high school graduate
- A minimum of 3 years experience as a mechanic.
- Must be knowledgeable in the following areas: Diesel engines;
gas engines; hydraulics;
- Possess a valid drivers license.
Supervisor: Fleet Manager
Workers Under Your Supervision: Preventative
Maintenance Mechanic
Major Responsibilities:
1.
Preventative maintenance of all trucks and trailers.
2. Perform all repairs on all trucks and trailers.
3. Compile parts orders to be given to shop manager for truck
and trailers repairs.
4. Keep accurate records of all preventative maintenance and
repair performed on company trucks and trailers.
5. Keep an accurate inventory on all truck and trailer parts.
6. Make field repairs on trucks and trailers when needed.
7. Reports to shop manager on the condition of all trucks and
trailers and advises as to suspected misuse.
8. Is responsible for keeping the shop area neat, clean, safe
and organized at all times.
