Landscape
Assistant Supervisor
Purpose:
Assist landscape supervisor in coordinating work assigned to the
landscape division within budget.

Minimum
Requirements:
High school education
or GED, 1 year landscape work experience, valid CDL license and
a working knowledge of tools, equipment and plant material.
Responsibilities:
1. Become familiar
with company policy and enforce it on a daily basis.
2. Inspect schedule board daily and discuss work to be performed
with landscape supervisor.
3. Check equipment on a daily basis and do minor repairs as needed.
4. Tag all broken equipment and turn into repair shop. Advise
supervisor of problems immediately.
5. Perform quality preventative maintenance of all trucks and
equipment for region as required.
6. Report all tool breakage or loss to supervisor.
7. Work closely with supervisor.
8. Be involved with personnel training programs and advise crew
members of quality work performance.
9. During the absence of the landscape supervisor the assistant
will insure the work is carried out in a timely manner at or above
a quality rating of 1.0
10. As work is completed, assist supervisor in completing appropriate
paperwork in a timely manner and filing appropriately.
11. Prepare equipment and material at the end of day for next
days production.
12. Ongoing training and knowledge of diseases and pests and plant
identification.
13. Upon completion of jobs, advise landscape coordinator of any
outstanding issues and provide job close-out information.
14. Arrive at work at scheduled start time. Lateness more than
once within a single pay period will result in disciplinary action.
15. Check into property office with supervisor upon arriving on
job site daily.
16. Keep plant holding area tidy and organized.
17. Pick up plant material as needed from various suppliers.
